I work with students at all levels, from beginners to advanced, and specialize in providing clear structure, strong fundamentals, and personalized guidance. Whether a student is just starting out or feeling stuck and unsure how to progress, I tailor lessons to meet their goals, interests, and preferred learning style.
My teaching approach is structured but flexible. For beginners, I emphasize core drawing and painting fundamentals such as proportion, perspective, value, color theory, line quality, and composition. For more advanced students, I offer focused instruction on specific challenges or techniques as they work on personal projects. Lessons are designed to build confidence gradually and help students understand not just how to draw or paint, but why certain approaches work.
I hold a B.F.A. in Fine Art from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and have taught both group and private classes for a wide range of students, including adults and young adults, in one-on-one and studio settings. I teach traditional mediums with a primary focus on drawing fundamentals, acrylic painting, and oil painting, as well as graphite, charcoal, pen and ink, and watercolor. I’m patient, adaptable, and committed to helping each student grow their skills and confidence as an artist.
