Bio

I just finished my Ph.D. in Earth and Planetary Sciences from Yale University. My research focused on the early processes in the solar system using both theoretical and experimental methods. My daily research requires integrating concepts from mathematics, physics, and chemistry at different levels to support model development, experimental design, and data analysis.

I worked as a teaching fellow in Yale University from 2020 to 2024. I mostly worked with undergraduate students. I mainly conducted weekly office hours in-person or via Zoom to help students with their homeworks and answer their questions about what they learnt in class. I also graded their assignments and exams, provided feedback.

In Fall 2020 I taught Fossil Fuels and World Energy and the class size was ~20. This course requires students know algebra and applied math. They needed to do practices like calculating energy consumptions and converting units. All the office hours, individual meetings gradings were conducted online.

In Fall 2021 I taught Dynamic Earth, which was a course combining math, thermodynamics and geology and the class size was over 200. Students needed to use their knowledge of material sciences and geology to explain observations like volcano eruption and formation of islands.

In Spring 2023 and 2024 I taught Global tectonics and the class size was 30-40. This was a course that focused on structure geology and requires knowledge of math, thermodynamics, geometry, physics, mineralogy, etc. Students needed to combine their knowledge of material science, geology and physic, and using math as a tool to solve the problems like the buoyancy of mountains over the mantle and the elevation of plateaus after erosion.
