Through rigorous undergraduate courses and dedicated study, I have developed a deep understanding of General Chemistry and Calculus. My background has allowed me to master the complexities of Chemistry, from atomic structure to complex topics such as stoichiometry and thermodynamics. I am particularly adept at helping student break down complex problems into manageable pieces that can each be tackled to solve the whole. By focusing on the underlying logic behind reactions and formulas, I push beyond rote memorization and toward a true understanding of the material.
In addition to Chemistry, I also specialize in tutoring Calculus I and II, helping build students academic confidence needed to succeed in academically tough environments. I want to develop strong foundational knowledge before doing any heavy computational work. Students struggle when they forget key steps, and I help to plug these gaps for a smooth flow of knowledge, I work one-on-one to identify these gaps, providing clear and patient guidance until things like integrals, derivatives and even Taylor series become intuitive and manageable.
Throughout my experience helping my peers and younger students, I have found that the most effective tutoring can happen when mentors can translate abstract formulas into understandable, logical terms. I have worked with students one-on-one in the high school and introductory college level for 4 years. My goal is to provide a supportive environment where student can ask questions, target gaps in their knowledge with practice, and build skills to excel in future STEM courses.
