I believe that it is important to teach music in a way that is nurturing and gives students a sense of confidence in their musical abilities. This approach that I utilize has been the product of years of experience both teaching and learning from other teachers. I received my bachelor's degree from the Jacobs school of music studying from Professor Roberto Plano. I then went on to study at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot where I studied with Madame Rena Shereshevskaya. I have taught for seven years to students of all ages. I have also had experience playing with fifteen different orchestras and I can guarantee that my teaching of theory and interpretation is an excellent choice for students of all kinds.
I specialize in Music theory, piano, and other general musical concepts you may want to talk about. I am always patient with students and always make sure that sessions are fun and engaging. My teaching involves planned exercises and activities for memorization. I cover subjects such as, Key signature identification, note naming, time signatures, counting exercises, historical periods, music analysis, writing out scales, intervals, and other subjects. My format is generally in the form of a private one to one setting. However, I can also teach multiple people in the same lesson.
