During my year between undergrad and medical school, I spent time working as a pre-med essay and application tutor. After receiving several acceptances to medical school, I decided that I wanted to use my writing skillset and tools that I learned on my own journey to support other students through the process. I am now finishing my medical school training and continue to have a passion for essay/writing tutoring.
I am a strong writer with a passion for supporting students as they explore the English language through writing. I believe that the best writing conveys meaning, depth, and power in each sentence. I help students to create personal statements, essays, and other writing pieces that are succinct, yet impactful.
The majority of my tutoring experience has been with college-level and older students working on pieces of writing for their applications to graduate and undergraduate school programs. However, I also have experience working with preschool and elementary-age students through a weekly literacy group that I help to run as well as time spent as an elementary school educational summer counselor. I am comfortable with students of all ages and look forward to working with you/your child on any piece of writing in need of some strengthening!
