My educational background has provided me with a well-rounded foundation to support diverse learners. I hold four associate degrees in Math, English, Psychology, and Humanities, which have equipped me with a multifaceted understanding of how students learn and the different ways we can approach academic challenges. These degrees have not only deepened my knowledge in core subjects but have also given me insight into the cognitive and emotional aspects of education, which I believe are just as important as the academic content itself. My certifications as a Resource Specialist Educator further validate my expertise in working with students who have unique learning needs.

With over nine years of experience as a Resource Specialist Educator in the Fremont Unified School District, my primary focus has been on helping elementary school-aged students in a one-on-one and small-group classroom setting. My approach is rooted in patience and empathy, as I believe that building a trusting relationship is the key to unlocking a child's potential. I use a variety of teaching methods, including multi-sensory and hands-on activities, to make complex topics accessible and engaging. I work to identify each student's specific learning style and tailor my instruction to their individual needs, ensuring they not only grasp the material but also feel confident in their abilities.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of watching students who once struggled with a subject develop a genuine love for learning. My goal is to transform frustration into confidence and homework battles into rewarding learning experiences.
