Hello, and thank you for visiting my tutor profile!

I know you're here to succeed and I look forward to working with you.
I have a B.A. (magna cum laude) in Creative Arts from San José State University. I earned my M.A. in Aesthetics & Politics from California Institute of the Arts.

I spent several years as a college-level English instructor's aide at Glendale College. Many of my students were primarily from the ESL track, and most of them went on to earn their Associate's Degree or transferred to a 4-year university. I also tutored music students while I worked on my own lower division courses. Between the skills I've acquired from these various opportunities, I know that I can help you to succeed in your learning goals.

You set your own pace and this is your chance to take charge of your session. You write your own ticket and I wouldn't have it any other way. An empowered student is ready to confidently tackle future challenges. Yes, that student could be you!

I expect a lot from my students, so I ask that you are prepared for our session. You must have your homework, textbook, or other materials on-hand and available for reference (and please try to send me applicable materials in advance, if possible). Random subject-related questions are always welcome.

Always feel free to reach out if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions.

Government & Politics,

Government & Politics

Throughout my academic career, I have been drawn to the intersection of art and social justice. My writing and research challenges social inequities and oppressive power structures, and investigates human interactions in the public sphere. My graduate coursework focused on the many aspects of contemporary political thought-- informed by classical political theory within the wider context of critical theory. Through critical explorations of art, community, and context, I seek ways to foster dynamic discourse and elevate underrepresented populations.
