I've been tutoring elementary school students since 2021, working across core subjects like reading, math, and writing. The biggest thing I've learned is that every kid processes information differently, so I'm always adjusting how I explain something based on what's clicking and what's not. Some kids need to see it visually, others need to talk through it out loud. I pay attention to that and shift my approach accordingly.
Outside of tutoring I've worked at Apple and currently manage operations at a trampoline park, so I'm used to explaining things clearly to all kinds of people and staying patient under pressure. That's carried over into how I work with kids. I don't rush them, I meet them where they are, and I make sure they actually understand before we move on.
