High School Math and Physics Tutor

Hi I'm Patrick! I am currently a senior in high school. I have taken all the hardest math and science courses offered at my school, including AP Physics, Precalculus, and Chemistry, and I'm currently taking HL Physics and AP Calculus BC. After receiving a 5 on my AP Physics exam and recognizing my talent for the subject, I started to volunteer to tutor students taking AP Physics at my high school, where I helped them one on one with practice problems, and also led group tutoring sessions for the whole class to help them get a better grasp of the major concepts. Additionally, I have worked as a teacher and grader for an educational organization called Kumon, which offers math and English tutoring services for K-12 students.

As I mentioned above, I am most confident tutoring AP Physics, Precalculus, basic calculus, and of course fundamental mathematics like algebra, trigonometry, and geometry. One of the most satisfying things for me as a tutor is getting my students to that "gotcha" moment when I can see that the concept finally clicked for them. This is why my teaching method emphasizes understanding concepts holistically, rather than just memorizing equations and steps. This way, I can make sure that my students are able to tackle problems from every angle, and really understand the logical reasoning behind every idea, which is what I think is lacking for most students who are struggling.
