Hello, I'm Aaron, a Princeton University graduate with a degree in Economics. I have over a decade of experience teaching and mentoring students across a breadth of subjects. My goal as a tutor is to instill students critical thinking skills, problem solving frameworks, and confidence that will empower them beyond a classroom setting.

Standardized Test Prep is one of my favorite subjects to teach. My own personal experience with the SAT goes back to middle school, where I scored an 800 on the SAT Math section at the age of 13, and in high school, where I scored 800 on both the Math II and Chemistry Subject Tests, and a 2320 on the full exam. This led me to start teaching my peers on standardized testing. Today, I help students prepare for the SAT, ACT, SSAT, SHSAT, and ISEE. My approach emphasizes deep mastery of core concepts alongside targeted test-taking strategies because most score gains come not just from knowing the material, but from eliminating careless errors, learning how to think through high-pressure problems efficiently, and leveraging tools and systems like DESMOS.

In addition to Standardized Test Prep, I offer college counseling. Having gone through the Ivy League admissions process myself, I work directly with students on formulating college strategy, application positioning, and essay development, helping students present their most compelling and authentic selves to admissions committees.

I have worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds, from non-native English speakers to students with learning disabilities. I really enjoy developing a rapport with my students while holding them to a high standard. I believe that each student possesses a distinct learning style, and I meet them where they are by adopting a teaching strategy that is tailored to the individual.

SAT Math

I’ve taught SAT Math for over a decade, helping all of them achieve score of 750 or higher. My approach focuses on more than just learning formulas and concepts. I help students develop a clear, repeatable process for recognizing question types, solving problems efficiently, avoiding common mistakes, and managing the harder questions that separate a good score from a great one. Additionally, I leverage the latest materials to ensure that students are exposed to the latest question types and patterns being developed by standardized testing administrators. With extensive experience teaching students at a wide range of starting levels, I’m able to quickly identify where a student is losing points and tailor our work around those specific weaknesses. My goal is to give students both the technical mastery and the test-taking confidence they need to perform at their highest level on test day.
