Hi! I’m Marina, a fourth-year Psychology premed student at UCLA with three years of tutoring experience spanning from elementary school to high school. Throughout college, I’ve also taken a proactive role in supporting my peers in challenging STEM courses by organizing and leading study groups. I’ve developed and shared detailed study guides, created practice questions, and walked through complex concepts to help others succeed.

What I’ve learned through tutoring is that no two students learn the same way. That’s why I focus on understanding each student’s learning style and needs. I believe in breaking down concepts in clear, simple terms and using engaging examples to make learning both accessible and enjoyable. I aim to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions and actively participating.

My tutoring journey began with helping younger students build foundational skills in math, reading, and writing. As I progressed through school, I continued tutoring middle and high school students in subjects like Algebra, Biology, and English. At UCLA, I took it a step further by mentoring my peers through collaborative study groups, especially in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Genetics, and psychology courses.
