Hi, I’m Oliver. I tutor General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, physics, MCAT and math. I graduated from the University of Southern California in 2019 with a degree in Global Health, and now study medicine at Midwestern University's Phoenix branch. I’m passionate about sharing my love of science and math with students of all ages.

Hi, I’m Oliver. I tutor General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, physics, MCAT and math. I graduated from the University of Southern California in 2019 with a degree in Global Health, and now study medicine at Midwestern University's Phoenix branch. I’m passionate about sharing my love of science and math with students of all ages.

As a college student, I was successful in Physics with calculus, biochemistry, biology, chemistry and organic chemistry. As a medical student I've completed Anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry. I’m very confident tutoring all of these subjects. I took the MCAT in 2020 and scored in the 87th percentile. I am super confident in my ability to explain STEM topics in a way you’ll understand. My recent students have emphasized how much they appreciate my ability to break down the content and reach their “aha” moment.

I’m an expert in tutoring standardized tests. I received a 770 on the SAT Math section. I also take great pride in working long-term with high school and college students to help them succeed in their STEM classes and achieve their goals. As a recent graduate, I’m very familiar with current testable material and the challenges of college. I’d love to share my own tips and tricks for standardized and classroom tests to help you feel confident and improve your scores.

I pride myself on being open, accessible, and fun to work with. Outside of the classroom, I love running, surfing, climbing, table tennis, camping, backpacking, and most outdoor activities. I've learned genetics in several contexts including general biology and biochemistry as well as to the stringent standard set by the MCAT, on which I received a 90th percentile score in the relevant section. Additionally I have taken the course at the university level and set the curve on multiple exams and quizzes, including a 95% on a test that averaged to 70% and a score in the top 10% of the course on the cumulative final exam. I feel extremely confident explaining course material to students.

I took the MCAT about 4 months ago and received a mid 80th percentile score with high 80th percentile on Chem/Physics, Bio/biochem, and Psychology (128,128,129 respectively). Besides Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills, I feel confident tutoring any section of the MCAT. I've also extensively tutored the Biology, Chemistry, and physics pre requisite courses and am confident I could score higher in those sections now.

Awesome Tutor

Oliver was really great at explaining the basics before getting to the actual hw problem. I needed the foundation before I could build on my knowledge and he did a great job helping me with that. Olivier really goes above and beyond. He asks questions to make sure I understand my organic chem homework. He is funny and he makes organic chem fun! Even though my class is Ethnobotanical Chemistry, it incorporates a lot of organic chemistry, which Oliver is very knowledgeable about. He is flexible and works with my schedule. Definitely recommend him!
