She is meticulous in discerning the slightest nuances in pronunciation and practice with me until I get it. She packs three or four different approaches in each lesson - vocabulary, dialog, grammar, etc - the brain gets the needed exercise for learning a new language effectively. I feel fortunate to have found her!
I began a lifelong passion of learning foreign languages at the age of 7, and after studying both French and Spanish for 11 years, I undertook a BA in Modern Arabic Studies with a Spanish minor. I traveled to Cairo, Egypt where I received a certificate to teach English as a Foreign Language and completed a year of teaching English in a private elementary school in Cairo.

Melanie worked with my brother and me on vocabulary and pronunciation. She asked us questions in French, and we responded in kind. Whenever we got stuck on something, she gave us great explanations and allowed us to practice the subject. We look forward to continuing our weekly French lessons with her.
