Hello! I am a student at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign studying molecular and cellular biology! From a young age I had an intense interest in biology that led me to spending countless hours of my childhood reading advance biology textbooks and spend entire weeks conducting experiments. My passion and curiosity as a child are what led me to pursue molecular biology and a desire to help students in sharing the joy and wonder of biology.
My tutoring experience consists of working as a science center tutor at Westlake High School (Go Warriors!!), helping students with either test corrections and assignments, or helping them understand a challenging concept in AP chemistry, biology and Environmental science. I have also volunteered at the Granada Hills Korean Language School as a Teacher's Aid for 3 years assisting students with homework assignments. At UIUC, I am working as an instructor for a program educating elementary and middle school students in STEM. My love for tutoring stems from watching my students grow not just academically, but emotionally as well.
My qualifications include receiving a certificate of merit in the United States of America Biology Olympiad in 2023, as well as independent research projects I have conducted in the field of molecular mechanics in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
I look forward to working with you! Thank you!
