Bio

I am Irina. I have a Master’s Degree in Mathematics, and have taught High School Math for 25 years, including 15 years of Calculus AB and BC. I am most proud of my success with Calculus BC student's who in my class are required to take the AP test, and virtually all of them pass the exam, with a majority receiving the highest mark of 5. I am Irina. I have a Master’s Degree in Mathematics, and have taught High School Math for 25 years, including 15 years of Calculus AB and BC. I am most proud of my success with Calculus BC student's who in my class are required to take the AP test, and virtually all of them pass the exam, with a majority receiving the highest mark of 5. I have also scored Calculus Free Response Questions for College Board, so I know their requirements as an insider. I have tutored throughout my entire career, both in a group settings and one-on-one. I also have extensive experience as a private tutor. I was given The Student’s Choice Award in my High School, an award I cherish the most since it came from my students.

I am passionate about Math, and my students find it inspiring. I instruct by breaking down complex mathematical concepts into simple logical steps. My focus is on understanding, not abstract memorization. I am enthusiastic, supportive, and patient. My instruction is tailored to the needs of each individual student.

Our son (high school freshman) has been struggling picking up concepts. Irina slowed him down, gave him some actionable tips and built value into processes.
