This analytical foundation was further sharpened through my participation in the NASA L'SPACE Program, where I applied complex problem-solving skills to mission design concepts. My experience as a Teaching Assistant for the Jaime Escalante Mathematics Program has provided me with invaluable classroom experience, where I support instructors with classroom management and provide direct academic help to nearly 35 students at a time.
My passion for teaching is demonstrated through my extensive, hands-on tutoring experience. Since August 2023, I have served as an English as a Second Language Tutor at East Los Angeles College, providing personalized, one-on-one instruction to a diverse group of over 30 students. By designing customized lesson plans tailored to individual learning styles, I have helped my students achieve an average grade increase of one full letter. Furthermore, my work as a Special Education Paraprofessional allowed me to assist in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), utilizing assistive technology and behavior management strategies to improve student engagement and learning outcomes.
