I am a certified teacher with over 35 years of experience in math teaching and tutoring. I hold a master's degree in math education and have taught in a variety of settings, including elementary, middle, and high schools. Additionally, I offer problem-solving classes within the community to help students strengthen their math skills.
Throughout my career, I have provided one-on-one tutoring for hundreds of students, helping them catch up in school, achieve excellent grades, and develop a love for math. My tutoring spans from elementary to college-level students, covering a range of topics such as pre-algebra, Algebra I and II, geometry, pre-calculus, calculus, statistics, and SAT preparation.
In the past decade, I have expanded my expertise to coaching and organizing national and international math competitions outside of the school environment. I have been involved in competitions such as MOEMS (Math Olympiads), Math Kangaroo, MathCounts, AMC 8, Noetic, Purple Comet, and more. Many of the students I coach have achieved high rankings in these competitions.
I teach problem-solving classes both online and in the community for Cool Math LA, and I currently serve as the California state director for Math Kangaroo, where I also contribute as a curriculum writer. Additionally, I founded the **Number Tournament**, the first event of its kind, aimed at improving number fluency for 3rd-8th grade students in the Greater Los Angeles area.
