I am beginning my 20th year in education and have spent most of my career teaching fifth and sixth grade students. In addition to teaching in a traditional classroom, I have eight years of experience working with students in an online charter school, giving me a strong understanding of how to engage learners in both in-person and virtual settings. Throughout my career, I have worked with students of all ability levels and believe every student can succeed when they receive the right support, encouragement, and individualized instruction.
I hold a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, a supplementary credential in mathematics, and a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Technology. My approach to tutoring is to build confidence while helping students truly understand the concepts they are learning rather than simply memorizing answers. I take the time to identify each student's strengths and areas for growth so I can tailor lessons to their individual learning style. Whether your child needs help mastering foundational skills, preparing for a test, completing homework, or simply gaining confidence in the classroom, I strive to create a positive, supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and celebrating their progress.
