If your child is struggling in school — with reading, behavior, or simply feeling understood — I want you to know that you've found someone who gets it. I am a California credentialed Education Specialist with six years of self-contained classroom experience working daily with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Emotional Disturbances, Specific Learning Disorders, and English Language Learners. I hold an ASD Added Authorization, which means I am credentialed not just to teach but to assess and provide specially designed instruction for some of the most complex learners in the K-12 system.
My approach to tutoring is personal, structured, and deeply individualized. For students with dyslexia or reading challenges, I use The Orton-Gillingham Approach — a multisensory, sequential method that engages students through sight, sound, movement, and touch simultaneously. Every session is built around where your student is right now, not where they're supposed to be. I am also experienced in IEP support, positive behavior strategies, and family coaching — so whether your student needs literacy intervention, behavioral guidance, or help navigating their educational plan, I bring a full toolkit to every session.
What sets me apart is something most tutors simply cannot offer — 17 years of direct care experience in clinical milieu settings working with some of the most high-needs populations imaginable, including incarcerated adolescents. That background makes me exceptionally calm, patient, and effective even when students are dysregulated or resistant. I work with students from Kindergarten through adulthood, I am proficient in Spanish, and I am available afternoons, evenings, and weekends for remote sessions. It's not about the arrows — it's about the Archer.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

I hold a California ASD Added Authorization, which grants me credentialed authority to conduct educational assessments and provide specialized instruction specifically for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. I have six years of classroom experience in self-contained ASD Core programs across elementary and middle school settings, working with students ranging from early intervention through transition age. My approach is structured, predictable, and sensory-informed, incorporating visual supports, AAC tools, positive behavior intervention systems, and individualized reinforcement strategies. I understand the full profile of the ASD learner — academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and communicative — and I bring both the credentials and the lived daily experience to support meaningful progress.
Dyslexia

Dyslexia

I am trained in The Orton-Gillingham Approach, the gold standard structured literacy methodology for students with dyslexia and language-based reading disabilities. My instruction is explicit, sequential, and multisensory, incorporating visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile elements to reach learners who have not responded to traditional reading instruction. I have designed and taught OG-based literacy programs and integrate phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, morphology, and comprehension into every lesson. I understand that dyslexia carries an emotional weight beyond the academic challenge, and I bring patience, clinical calm, and genuine warmth to every session.
Special Needs

Special Needs

I am a California credentialed Education Specialist with six years of self-contained classroom experience serving students across the full range of mild-to-moderate disabilities — including Autism Spectrum Disorders, Emotional Disturbances, Specific Learning Disorders, Multiple Disabilities, and English Language Learners. I am trained in Assistive Technology, and positive behavior intervention planning, and I have managed a team of six paraprofessionals in a high-needs self-contained setting. My background includes 17 years of direct care and paraprofessional case management in clinical milieu settings, giving me a depth of behavioral and trauma-informed understanding that most tutors simply do not have. I meet every student where they are — with structure, compassion, and high expectations.
