My approach to tutoring is personal, structured, and deeply individualized. For students with dyslexia or reading challenges, I use The Orton-Gillingham Approach — a multisensory, sequential method that engages students through sight, sound, movement, and touch simultaneously. Every session is built around where your student is right now, not where they're supposed to be. I am also experienced in IEP support, positive behavior strategies, and family coaching — so whether your student needs literacy intervention, behavioral guidance, or help navigating their educational plan, I bring a full toolkit to every session.
What sets me apart is something most tutors simply cannot offer — 17 years of direct care experience in clinical milieu settings working with some of the most high-needs populations imaginable, including incarcerated adolescents. That background makes me exceptionally calm, patient, and effective even when students are dysregulated or resistant. I work with students from Kindergarten through adulthood, I am proficient in Spanish, and I am available afternoons, evenings, and weekends for remote sessions.
