I graduated with my PhD from Stanford in Chemical Engineering, a BSE from Princeton in Chemical and Biological Engineering, and a certificate (minor) from Princeton in Materials Science and Engineering. At Stanford, I was the teaching assistant (TA) for Soft Matter: Rheology across three quarters, working with ~100 undergraduate and graduate students, and also tutored students in graduate-level Biomaterials and Polymer Physics classes at Stanford. I have three years of experience tutoring middle and high school students in AP Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, SAT math section, SAT Math Subject Test, SSAT, and high school math up to AP Calculus BC.

I previously received 800 on the SAT math section, 800 on the SAT Math Subject Test, 800 on the SAT Chemistry Subject Test, and 5 on the AP Calc BC exam. I was a National AP Scholar and National Merit Scholar.

I love working with students and I'm excited to help you learn!

Approved Subjects

Calculus

Calculus

I recently completed my PhD from Stanford in Chemical Engineering and did my undergraduate studies at Princeton in Chemical and Biological Engineering. My dissertation was on fluid mechanics of biological materials. In addition to using calculus in my studies, I teach SAT math and high school math classes of all levels.
Chemical Engineering

Chemical Engineering

I specialize in materials science, polymer chemistry and physics, fluid mechanics, and rheology. During my PhD, I was a TA for three quarters of Soft Matter Rheology at Stanford. I am experienced in tutoring polymer science at the college/graduate level.
Clarinet

Clarinet

I specialize in teaching intermediate clarinetists from high school to adult ages. I have performed as a soloist with the Princeton University Sinfonia and the Worthington Kilbourne Wind Symphony. I have been playing in orchestras for 10+ years, including with the Stanford Symphony Orchestra, the Princeton University Orchestra and Sinfonia, OMEA All-State Band, and Columbus Symphony Youth Orchestra. I was a two-time finalist in the Columbus Symphony Concerto Competition. I previously studied with Jo-Ann Sternberg (Juilliard MAPS faculty and Princeton University), David Thomas (Columbus Symphony principal clarinetist), and Hild Peersen (Westerville Symphony).
Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

My PhD dissertation topic was on the fluid mechanics of polymeric biomaterials. In the past five years, I was a teaching assistant (TA) for three quarters of Mechanics of Soft Matter: Rheology at Stanford, and a private tutor for graduate level Polymer Science as well as graduate level Biomaterials courses. I am experienced in teaching about polymer physics and chemistry, soft materials, and fluid mechanics. I have taken over five polymers-related courses between Princeton and Stanford in my undergraduate and graduate coursework, respectively, and it's my favorite subject to teach!
Music Theory

Music Theory

I am a pianist and clarinetist with 3 years of teaching experience and 24 years of music performance and theory experience. I was previously a member of the Stanford Symphony Orchestra, Stanford New Ensemble, Princeton University Orchestra and Sinfonia, Princeton Pianists Ensemble, Princeton Pops Orchestra, Princeton Chamber Music Society, OMEA All-State Band, and Columbus Symphony Youth Orchestra. I was a two-time winner in the Princeton Sinfonia Concerto Competition and a finalist in the Columbus Symphony Concerto Competition.  Outside of music performance, I have studied music theory, composition, arranging and orchestration, film scoring, and music history at both Princeton and Stanford. I am passionate about teaching and music theory is one of my favorite subjects.

Very knowledgeable

My daughter enjoyed her class and thinks she’s very knowledgeable on both math and chemistry. It was a great help in her test prep.
