I’m a junior at Carnegie Mellon University majoring in Environmental Engineering and Materials Science Engineering. I've tutored high school math in the past and am now a peer tutor at CMU, adding up to eight years of experience (not including helping my little brother with school!). As somebody who had to work very hard to catch up to my peers, I'm well aware that everyone moves at their own pace, and that tutoring should be individualized. Understanding each student's strengths is a critical aspect of my approach, and I always try to relate to whoever I'm helping.
I scored a 5 on 10 AP courses in high school, including AP Calculus AB & BC, AP Physics C, AP Environmental Science, and AP Spanish Language and Culture. I also taught fellow students how to use CNC machinery as part of my school's robotics team. At CMU, I have maintained a 3.95 GPA while acting as a Peer Tutor for two courses. I help students one-on-one and also host open Office Hours where I teach in a group setting.
