I have studied economics for 7.5 years gaining a Master of Science degree in economics. I have taught an MBA course in introductory economics and been a teaching assistant for: econometrics, industrial economics, experimental economics, health economics, and agricultural economics for undergraduate students. I have also tutored undergraduate statistics courses for 3 years. I have taken lower level PhD courses in economics during my graduate studies and have the confidence that I have enough understanding and teaching background that I can give you the confidence to succeed in the subject you need the most help in.

Economics and statistics is a topic many either love or hate. I believe everyone can love it with a little extra time with it. Economics and stats is mostly word problems and once we can work through those word problems and simplify each piece of it, these topics will make more and more sense. This is how we will approach this subject, breaking down the question and the meaning of some of the newer words, as well as memorizing the relationships that exist here. All of this combined will really help in learning these two types of subjects. When it comes to econometrics there is not much difference but some coding (in either R, Jupyter Notebook [Python] or STATA) comes into play, but understanding these economic relationships and breaking down the question being asked is still just as important. Anyone interested in learning these subjects is welcome and I am here to help.

While I predominantly am here to assist in teaching Economics, Econometrics and Statistics, I have vast background knowledge in most mathematics and am able to also assist with this subject as well if needed. Let's have a chat and see if we are the right fit to your learning goals, whether that be a single assignment or over a period of time.

Approved Subjects

Econometrics

Econometrics

I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Economics and have extensive graduate-level training in econometrics, statistical modeling, and applied data analysis. I have served as a university teaching assistant for econometrics and have experience helping students understand regression analysis, hypothesis testing, model interpretation, statistical significance, and common econometric assumptions. My own academic research has also involved applying econometric methods to real-world economic questions using statistical software. I focus on helping students understand both the mathematical reasoning behind econometric methods and how to interpret results clearly in practice.
Macroeconomics

Macroeconomics

I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, with extensive undergraduate and graduate-level coursework in macroeconomic theory. My background includes topics such as GDP and economic growth, inflation, unemployment, fiscal and monetary policy, interest rates, business cycles, and aggregate supply and demand. I have also taught introductory economics to MBA students and supported university-level economics courses as a teaching assistant. I focus on helping students connect economic models and graphs to real-world events so the material feels intuitive rather than purely theoretical.
Microeconomics

Microeconomics

I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, with more than five years of coursework in microeconomic theory at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. My studies covered topics including supply and demand, elasticity, consumer and producer theory, market structures, externalities, game theory, and welfare analysis. I have also taught introductory economics to MBA students and supported university-level economics courses as a teaching assistant. I enjoy helping students work through graphs, equations, and economic intuition step by step so they understand both how to solve a problem and why the answer makes sense.
STATA

STATA

I used STATA extensively throughout my Master’s degree in Applied Economics, including completing my graduate thesis using STATA for data management, statistical analysis, and econometric modeling. My experience includes cleaning and organizing datasets, running and interpreting regression models, hypothesis testing, working with variables and transformations, and evaluating statistical output. I have also used STATA in graduate-level econometrics and applied economics coursework, giving me experience connecting the software to the underlying statistical and economic concepts. I can help students understand both how to perform analyses in STATA and how to correctly interpret and explain their results.
Statistics

Statistics

I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Applied Mathematics, giving me a strong foundation in statistics and quantitative analysis. I have several years of experience tutoring statistics and supporting university-level courses that use statistical methods, including econometrics and applied economics. My experience includes probability, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, regression, correlation, distributions, and interpreting statistical results. I focus on breaking problems into clear steps and helping students understand both the calculations and the reasoning behind them.
