Hi! My name is Nikki and I am currently a student at UC Berkeley double majoring in Data Science and Economics. My passion for tutoring traces back to high school, where I helped organize a school-wide 1-on-1 tutoring program. Since then, I’ve had three years of experience tutoring high school students in a 1-on-1 setting for the SAT Reading and Writing sections, SAT math, as well as the subjects of Spanish and English. As someone who understands what it is like to not understand the way a teacher explains a concept, I am committed to finding innovative ways to communicate complex ideas and tailoring my teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.

I have a proven track record of success in SAT and test preparation, and have helped my students increase their scores by an average of 200-300 points. I myself scored a nearly perfect score of 1590 on the SAT, including an 800 in the math section and a 790 in the English section. I’m also a National Merit Semifinalist, and scored in the 99th percentile on the PSAT. Additionally, I’ve scored a 5 on AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, US History, Statistics, and US Government and Politics.

With a wealth of experience and a passion for empowering students, I work with each student to bring a personalized approach to SAT preparation, beginning with a diagnostic exam and an official score report. In addition to a mastery of the core material on the test, my approach is also informed by a deep understanding of the patterns, rules, SAT design, and test-taker fallacies. Keeping each student’s timeline and target score in mind, I will work with you (or your son or daughter) to craft a roadmap that helps you track and keep up with your goals. With my energetic, and compassionate approach, I’m excited to make a positive impact on young minds and help my students unlock their true potential!
