As Michael stated in his summary of our first session, "We reviewed electrophilic aromatic substitution including the mechanism as well as how the electrophiles are formed. We also discussed the mechanism behind ortho/para and meta directors. We discussed the difference between EDGs and EWGs." What wasn't mentioned was that he was willing to tutor me for an 40 or so minutes from our initial session. He cleared up formal charges and multiple aspects of orbital theory, and, if I remember correctly, hyperconjugation, which has confused me for years on end!

Best Organic Chem tutor, got me an A!
I have had 5 different tutors within the past year. In the past my tutors would make mistakes, get questions wrong, and take way too long to get through problems with me over-explaining concepts I did not need help with. Mr. G has been the best tutor I have ever had. He would help me with MULTIPLE questions in a short amount of time, being quick and efficient. He ensured I knew the topics well. The tutoring sessions were whatever I wanted, so if you want to be lectured on a topic, he will do it, if you want help with homework problems he will help you work through them. He is a professor, so he knows the topic very well. I imagine him to be one of the best ones at his institution. He teaches a summer course in organic chem so he can work through things quickly. This is important because I get the most out of my sessions! I was a student who hated chemistry, I failed ORGO the first time I took it, got a C in gen chem 1… with his tutoring I got an A in organic chemistry and one of the highest grades on the final! I am so happy with the service. I will be recommending to all my friends.
