Bachelor’s in History with a career in media and content development, guiding students to write clearly and think critically.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in History with a minor in Film & Visual Culture, and I have spent more than twenty years working in creative production, storytelling, and content development. That path has given me a deep appreciation for the power of strong writing and clear communication. At MTV News, I led the internship program, where I trained and mentored college students in research, writing, and media production. While that experience was with older students, it reinforced my passion for teaching and provided me with tools I now bring to helping middle and high school learners build skills and confidence.

My approach as a tutor is patient and supportive. I meet students where they are and help them grow at their own pace. I’ve worked one-on-one with learners on everything from building stronger essays to preparing for exams and classroom discussions. In both English and History, I aim to make material engaging and relevant by connecting it to real-world examples. Whether I’m breaking down complex historical events into clear stories or guiding a student through the writing process, I focus on creating an encouraging environment where students feel capable and motivated.

I have experience working with middle and high school students who are building their academic foundation, as well as with young adults refining advanced reading and research skills. I believe progress comes not only from learning facts or rules but also from developing curiosity and confidence. My goal is to help students strengthen their critical thinking, reading, and writing abilities while giving them tools to approach their studies with independence and self-assurance.
