Hi! I'm Krystle, and education is my passion. I have over 15 years of experience working with kids, including 13 years as an Educational Specialist and 3 years of teaching in a larger classroom setting. I earned by Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Southern California and my Master's Degree in Education and School Counseling from Boston University.
After my first few years as a classroom teacher, I learned that my true passion was working one to one with students to help them succeed and become confident learners. I love setting specific goals with my students and celebrating milestones together, which is what led me into the Educational Counseling field. I have been working for 13 years now as an Educational Specialist for a private center, and have implemented programs in all areas such as reading, writing, spelling, and fine motor skills (just to name a few). Seeing my students read for the first time, overcome learning hesitations, and surprise themselves are all highlights of what I do!
During the pandemic I learned so much about the various ways to teach and connect with students online. I never knew all of the different ways that technology could help enhance learning, yet still provide a way to have the special student-teacher bond that is normally fostered during in-person interactions. This is why I decided to broaden my horizons and offer online tutoring help, specifically for elementary and middle school students who are struggling and may need a confidence boost and an educational cheerleader! That's definitely who I am!
I'm always happy to help in any way I can and constantly look to make my lessons fun, rewarding, and educational. I continue to find new resources all the time to help enhance my student's learning, and I'm happy to add in schoolwork/homework into our lessons as it relates to the skills we're working on. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or to schedule an online lesson!
