I have a vast background in performance in concert bands, orchestras large and small, jazz bands, chamber ensembles, and other music endeavors such as arranging and composition. My instruments of performance are clarinet, saxophone, oboe, English horn and bassoon. Most recently I played the bassoon in the Delta College Concert Band. My experience as an ESL teacher assisted me greatly in the public school and resulted in a very large inclusive music program.
I have prepared myself for the CBEST (and taken it) and I was part of the after school tutoring program at the middle and high school level that was offered through Aptos Middle School where I taught for 18 years.

If you want to move ahead in music quickly and have a good time doing it, I have the background and experience to make the subject fun and interesting. I have many time tested techniques to engage students in performance, jazz improvisation, theory and composition and other areas of music and actual instruments. I have some instruments available for rental or purchase.
