Hello, and welcome! My name is Soohan W., and I have over 10 years of tutoring experience helping students succeed in Math, Biology, SAT preparation, and other STEM subjects from middle school through college. I am passionate about teaching and committed to supporting students with patience, clarity, and encouragement.
I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from University of California, Berkeley, where I also completed a minor in Data Science. I later earned a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences from University of the Pacific and recently completed a Master’s degree in Business Analytics and Data Science at Oklahoma State University.
In addition to private tutoring, I also lectured for a Microbiology laboratory course at the University of the Pacific. Over the years, I have taught a wide range of mathematics courses, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus BC, as well as AP Biology, AP Chemistry, and AP Physics.
I also specialize in SAT preparation. I personally scored a 2360 on the SAT (when it was scored out of 2400) and an 800 on the SAT II Math exam, and I have helped students achieve significant score improvements across multiple SAT formats over the years.
