Hi I'm Kelli! I graduated from Florida State University with my bachelors in chemistry and education as well as my MEd in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in secondary science teaching. I've always been interested in helping students learn and grow when it comes to math and science. I've been teaching for eight years and have taught both middle and high school. I'm currently teaching chemistry at the high school level. I have been tutoring for about six years. I've tutored all middle school math and science courses and taught most middle school science courses. I've also tutored AP Chemistry, AP Physics, AP Statistics, honors and general education of those courses, Algebra I & II, and Calculus. I develop my own curriculum to use in my tutoring sessions based on student needs and goals. Students do the heavy lifting of learning in both my classroom and my sessions. I offer group and 1-on-1 sessions as well as facilitating study groups, teaching study skills, and test prep.
After working with students for 8 years, I have found that students who have intentional, 1-on-1 attention tend to do significantly better academically and socially. I know that teachers cannot always provide that in classrooms and so students who have access to that outside of the classroom still get those benefits. I strive to offer a space where students can get that dedicated attention and use that to help them grow. I also facilitate group sessions as well as test prep and study sessions.
