As a graduate of the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, I bring a strong academic foundation and a passion for education to every tutoring session. My educational background is supported by certifications including a California Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit, CPR/BLS certification, and EMT licensure, equipping me with both instructional and interpersonal skills. Since graduating in 2023, I’ve worked as a substitute teacher across grades K–12 in both general and special education settings, adapting to diverse classrooms, lesson plans, and student needs. My work with Stockton Unified School District and Swing Education has given me valuable experience in managing full classrooms and supporting students with IEPs, behavioral plans, and varying learning styles.
I’ve also tutored college-level pre-calculus students through TutorMe and provided chemistry tutoring at UC Davis’s Academic Assistance and Tutoring Center. These one-on-one and small-group sessions allowed me to tailor instruction to each student's learning style, helping them build foundational knowledge, critical thinking skills, and academic confidence. I emphasize clarity, patience, and structured problem-solving in my approach, encouraging students to take ownership of their learning. My experience spans from mentoring first-generation college students to volunteering as a hospice caretaker—each role strengthening my empathy, communication, and adaptability. Whether I’m working with middle schoolers struggling with math or college students tackling advanced science, I aim to make learning accessible, engaging, and personalized.
