I am a PhD student in Physics at Stanford University with a long-standing passion for teaching. I have over seven years of experience tutoring and teaching math and physics at the high school, college, and graduate degree levels, and there's nothing that makes me happier than seeing my students succeed and thrive. I've previously tutored with the National Honor Society, the University of Chicago's Harper Tutors program, and the American Physical Society's Bridge Program for students from underrepresented backgrounds. I also help teach college physics at Stanford.
I actually struggled a lot with math & physics myself when I first started out, but, using the learning tools that I built over the last ten years, I went from being near the bottom of my class in high school to being where I am today. Along the way, I earned some of the nation's most prestigious scholarships for physics students including the Goldwater Scholarship and the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship and achieved the highest scores possible on the ACT, SAT Math + Critical Reading, GRE Quantitative Reasoning, and over 15 AP exams.
The point is, I know what it's like to struggle with math and physics, and I also have the tools and strategies--in addition to the patience, experience, and knack for explaining--needed to help my students achieve their full potential.
