I am currently an undergraduate student at Stanford University, where I have developed strong reading, writing, and analytical skills through both my academic work and leadership experiences. Much of my background has centered on communication and storytelling, which is why I am especially passionate about helping students grow as writers. I have held writing- and communication-focused roles, including serving as a co-editor-in-chief and participating in debate, both of which taught me how to think critically, build strong arguments, and give thoughtful, constructive feedback. These experiences helped me learn how to support students not just in polishing their writing, but in finding their own voice and expressing their ideas with confidence.
For the past two years, I have worked as a tutor specializing in essay writing, especially with high school seniors. I have helped students with academic essays, personal statements, and college application essays, guiding them through every stage of the process from brainstorming and outlining to revision and final polishing. Many of the students I have worked with have gone on to be admitted to top 20 universities. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and highly personalized. I care deeply about open communication, and I always want students to feel comfortable sharing feedback, asking questions, and letting me know what is or is not working for them.
Teaching in one-on-one settings has allowed me to adapt closely to each student’s needs, goals, and learning style. I understand that every student learns differently, so I try to remain very flexible in how I teach, whether that means focusing on structure, idea development, confidence building, or detailed line-by-line revision. Above all, I want students to feel supported throughout the process. I aim to create a warm and encouraging environment where students can improve their writing, strengthen their critical thinking, and feel more confident in their ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
