Hi! My name is Eric, and I specialize in tutoring physics, chemistry, biochemistry, and mathematics at the high school, college, and test-prep levels.
I hold honors degrees in Physics and Biochemistry from The University of Texas at Austin, and I’m currently pursuing graduate study in science education at Stanford University. Over the past 7 years, I’ve worked extensively as a tutor, teaching assistant, and curriculum designer. I’ve supported students in more than 18 math and science courses, ranging from introductory calculus and chemistry to advanced university-level physics, chemistry, and biochemistry.
In addition to my subject tutoring, I have significant experience with MCAT preparation, particularly in the Chemistry/Physics and Biology/Biochemistry sections. By focusing on strategy, problem solving, and conceptual mastery, my students consistently see strong score improvements, with several raising their science subsection scores by 4 points or more.
My teaching philosophy is simple: learning should be clear, engaging, and empowering. I focus on breaking down complex topics into understandable steps, building on students’ prior knowledge, and connecting science to real-world contexts that make the material “stick.” My goal is not only to help students excel in their coursework or exams, but also to develop the problem-solving skills and confidence that last far beyond our sessions.
Whether you’re preparing for an exam, tackling a challenging course, or building long-term mastery, I adapt my approach to your needs. I’d be excited to support you in reaching your goals.
Feel free to reach out with questions or to schedule a lesson — I look forward to working with you!
