I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cornell University with both my Bachelor's and Master's in Operations Research and Information Engineering (which is a combination of applied math, statistics, and CS) in a total span of only 4 years. I have an informal teaching style and want to get to know my students and make them feel comfortable and interested in learning. I recently graduated from college, so I'm very approachable and understand what classes are like at the high school / college level and how to do well in them. I can also offer helpful tips on the college admissions process and overall studying / test taking techniques.

I've been teaching for over 12 years and have worked with students ranging from elementary to college level in a multitude of settings including volunteering, private tutoring, and as an undergraduate and graduate teaching assistant in college. I specialize in Math and Science subjects (Probability/Statistics, Algebra, Pre-algebra, Precalculus, Geometry, and Chemistry) as well as SAT/PSAT tutoring (specifically Math and Writing sections).

Currently, I work as a Senior Data Scientist at a Fortune 5 company and used to work as a management/strategy consultant for a top firm in NYC. I am also open to providing career advice/job prep for consulting and DS roles (case studies, what types of questions to expect at interviews and how to prepare etc) as well as college admissions advice (review/edit essays, how to build a well-rounded college application).

Additionally, I am comfortable and enjoy working with elementary and middle school age children as well. I volunteered for 5 summers teaching elementary school children how to improve their reading and writing skills who were falling behind in school, taught 3rd and 4th graders advanced math skills that were around 2 grades ahead of the standard curriculum after school, and worked as a marine biology instructor for middle school students, creating my own unique lesson plan/course.

I've taken both Honors and AP chemistry in high school (5 on the AP test, 800 on the SAT subject test) and received A+s in both my high school classes and it was one of my best subjects in high school (I actually applied as a Chemistry major for college). I've also taken General Chemistry II for Engineers (placed out of General Chem I due to AP test) at Cornell in my undergrad as part of my core engineering curriculum and also received an A in the class.

Incredibly Prepared, Outstanding Mathematics Tutor

Daisy did such an amazing and thorough job of helping me prepare for my stochastic processes exam. I am so grateful for her detailed explanations and preparation of my review questions ahead of time. She was super flexible and accommodating of my schedule and made time for a session just before my test. I would highly recommend Daisy and look forward to working with her again! Would give 6 stars if I could. Thanks Daisy :)

It was a pleasure working with you and looking forward to another session! Good luck on your exam today!

Knowledgeable and understanding

Daisy helped me with my INEG Probability and Stochastics Process reviewing, the difference between random variables, and was very good at explaining how to use the excel equations with Probability. Can be a bit quick with speaking, and mouse handwriting is hard to read sometimes, but doesn't ruin the lesson.
