Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (Engineering)
Masters in Business Administration (Graduate Coursework)
You can call me Willie. I am seeking students to train in Math from fifth grade to Algebra I.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering in the Philippines, then became a US citizen while working for 20 years in the oil refining and food and beverage industries combined as a chemical engineer. By 1997, my daughter’s performance in school prompted my wife and I to decide that one of us should stay with the kids and tutor them. So I started to teach my daughter’s grade school Math all the way up to College level, then eventually my two sons, one of which became an 8th grade valedictorian. During these periods, I also volunteered as a Little League coach, training my sons in math and baseball.
Currently, I am serving as a tutor for my nephews who are in 8th and 3rd grades.
Why you should consider me as a tutor? I have a solid foundation through my education and work experience in Math and Science. I have several years of experience tutoring grade school and high school level kids, e.g. kids of friends and their friends. I don’t just teach them how to solve their homework, but they learn the method and technique on understanding the concepts involved.
Lastly, I have strong confidence that once my student learns the discipline I show them in learning Math, that this discipline will carry over into their other subjects improving them as well (which I have seen happened with all my students). I look forward to hearing from you soon. You can call me Willie. I am seeking students to train in Math from fifth grade to Algebra I.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
