Hello! I am a credentialed teacher with more than 21 years of experience working with students in grades K–8. Throughout my career, I have taught and tutored students with a wide range of learning styles, abilities, and academic needs.

I believe that successful tutoring begins with building a strong connection with each student. By taking the time to understand a student's strengths, interests, and learning style, I can create personalized lessons that help them gain confidence, strengthen skills, and achieve their goals.

My twenty-one years of teaching experience includes ten years of teaching middle school, seven years as an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher, and extensive work with elementary level students - including my most current role as a third grade teacher. I have specialized training in supporting English learners and helping students develop their reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills. I am also experienced in teaching mathematics and am well-versed in Common Core State Standards. My broad experience across grade levels gives me a strong understanding of the foundational skills students need to succeed as they progress through school.

Whether a student needs support catching up, staying on track, building confidence, or extending their learning, I provide patient, encouraging instruction tailored to their individual needs. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them develop the confidence and independence that lead to long-term success.

I truly enjoy working one-on-one with students and celebrating their growth along the way. I look forward to helping your child reach their full potential.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions. There is some flexibility in my availability, especially during the summer. My rate is also somewhat negotiable. I am happy to complete a background check upon request.

For my entire career, there have been students in every class who are considered English Learners. For nearly half of my teaching experience, I have been in a role that explicitly supports beginning and intermediate English Learners in learning English with success. With my students, all domains of learning English are included for student development in my lessons: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This is my passion and I love helping students progress in English!

Thorough and Knowledgeable Tutor

Caroline is a talented tutor who really cares about the students. In an hour, she got to know my son and guided him in writing an essay draft. My son is looking forward to working with her more.
