I am currently a freshman majoring in Computer Science at Stevens Institute of Technology. My academic focus centers on software development, Python programming, and advanced mathematics. As a STEM student at a rigorous engineering university, I have cultivated the logical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to master technical subjects. I am passionate about sharing this knowledge and helping younger students build a solid foundation in computer science and math.
My teaching philosophy is rooted in patience and clarity. Having recently transitioned from high school to college, I intimately understand the pressure students face with standardized testing and coursework. I built a standout academic record in high school, earning a perfect score of 5 on the AP Computer Science A exam and demonstrating strong proficiency in Calculus, Physics, and Economics. I excel at breaking down complex coding concepts—such as object-oriented programming, loops, and recursion—into simple, relatable examples. My goal is to help you not just pass the exam, but truly understand the logic behind the code.
In addition to my technical expertise, I am a native Mandarin speaker and can offer bilingual instruction to help bridge any language gaps in learning complex concepts. While I study at Stevens in New Jersey, I am currently back in the Los Angeles area for winter break and available for in-person tutoring sessions through January. I am happy to work with students intensively during the holidays and continue providing support via online sessions after I return to campus.
