I hold a master's degree in physics, having studied at both East Stroudsburg University and California State University, Los Angeles. My academic background immersed me in a foundational and advanced principles of physics, where I gained fluency in analytical reasoning, mathematical modeling, and scientific communication. During my time at CSULA, I served as a Graduate Assistant, where I supported undergraduate students in navigating and understanding their lab assignments and the physics behind it. I also often found myself helping classmates understand homework and coursework, which helped me develop a collaborative, patient, and concept-focused tutoring approach.
Beyond the sciences, I worked at Lindamood-Bell Learning Center, where I provided individualized instruction in reading, comprehension, and basic math to students ranging from young children to adults. This role allowed me to hon a calm, individualized approach to teaching, especially for learners who needed additional support and encouragement. I helped students bridge their literacy challenges and apply what they learned to their broader classroom environments. My experience across both technical and literacy-focused subjects has made me adaptable, student-centered, and passionate about helping learners grow, no matter their background or starting point.
