Hello! My name is Emily, and I am passionate about helping students become confident, successful learners. I hold a bachelor's degree in Communications with a minor in Psychology, and I am currently completing a master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Through my graduate studies, I have developed expertise in grammar instruction, reading and writing development, second language acquisition, curriculum design, and effective teaching strategies. These experiences have prepared me to tutor students in English, grammar, reading comprehension, writing, study skills, and Spanish.

For the past two years, I have taught Spanish to students from Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade in a classroom setting. I create engaging lessons, adapt instruction to different learning styles, assess student progress, and foster a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I have also worked as a substitute teacher in elementary and middle school classrooms, gaining experience working with students of varying ages, abilities, and academic needs. In addition, I have provided one-on-one English tutoring to international college students, helping them strengthen their reading, writing, grammar, pronunciation, and communication skills through personalized instruction.

My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student's individual goals. I believe every learner has unique strengths, and I enjoy finding creative ways to make challenging concepts easier to understand. Whether a student needs support with homework, improving their reading and writing, mastering grammar, learning Spanish, or developing stronger study habits, I strive to create engaging lessons that build confidence and promote long-term academic success.
