Although I focused on the humanities in college, I excelled in math all throughout my academic career. In high school I won math contests and particularly enjoyed Algebra 1 and 2. Math can be very difficult so my teaching focuses on detailed visual learning and examples. No question is stupid. Math is hard but I can help make it manageable and even fun.
In high school I took three years of honor's English and two years of AP English. In college my writing further improved as a history major and as a screenwriter. Regardless of your future goals, knowing how to write compelling and organized paragraphs is essential. Being well written and spoken will drastically separate you from other job applicants.
Again, one of my college majors was History. I focused on twentieth century world history with an emphasis on the Cold War and decolonization. I believe History and current events to be the most important subjects taught in school. Learning more about our past and other cultures will change how you vote, think, travel and interact with the world around you.
