Hello, my name is Keya and I am a recent graduate from California State University Northridge with a B.A in Biology. Working in pediatrics has tremendously helped me understand kids as well as taught me how to deal with various kinds of children and their weaknesses. Furthermore, I also have great knowledge of how to deal with children and ensure that they understand difficult concepts, stay focused and continue to learn and grow while still having fun.

I have been tutoring for several years now and absolutely love seeing kids understand difficult concepts. I have nearly 10 years of experience tutoring kids from Pierce College as well as kids ages 5-20 from local community and schools. I have taught a great range of subjects from English, Math, Science, SAT and ACT reviews. I have also done general mentoring for parents who have a difficult time understanding their kids and why they are not doing well in schools. Furthermore, I previously worked as a children's activity coordinator through an internship program at several local elementary schools. At the elementary schools I have spent over a year planning and teaching various art lessons. This experience has been amazing and I hope to continue the education route by teaching, encouraging and influencing kids to do better in school. Teaching kids and the future generation is a passion.
