With a PhD in art history and over 10 years of teaching experience, I have worked with many different types of learners in lots of situations. What I know is that every student is unique but that many concerns are shared. My goal is to demystify the task (whether art history, graduate school, or a dissertation) so that all energy can go toward learning (and succeeding!) rather than bumping around in the dark.

I specialize in art history, cultural studies, GRE prep, and graduate school admissions essays for art and art history. Having studied and taught at both public and private universities, I believe that if you understand the big picture it is much easier to have success with the smaller details. I will work hard for and with you. All I ask is that you come prepared and ready to go. For every student I will provide an individualized study plan with custom made timelines and outlines tailored to your specific goals. Don't know your goals? I can help you with that, too!
My cancellation policy is 24 hours in advance but I also understand that life happens so I try to be flexible with rescheduling whenever possible.
Generally I meet with students in regional library study rooms (downtown Los Angeles or Pasadena are most common) but I am open to traveling to other study spaces to meet student needs.
I look forward to hearing from to begin your personalized tutoring program!
