I specialize in English, history, college essay and application coaching, and test preparation, including SAT Reading & Writing and AP courses such as AP U.S. History, AP English Language, AP English Literature, and AP Human Geography.

My goal isn't just to help students succeed on their next assignment—it's to help them become more confident and independent learners.

I have extensive experience with U.S. History and have had personal success in the class, as well as in tutoring many students to high scores on the AP U.S. History exam. I place an emphasis on writing and historical context so that students can show complexity and depth of thought, especially with concepts and trends that span a large part of our nation's history.

I have guided students toward Top 20 college admissions results through personalized college access and application counseling. I work with students to identify their strengths, clarify their academic and personal goals, and develop cohesive application narratives that authentically reflect who they are. Beyond essay refinement, I support students throughout the admissions process by helping them navigate strategy, positioning, and self-presentation in competitive applicant pools. My goal is to help students approach the college process with confidence, clarity, and a strong sense of direction.

I have successfully tutored multiple students to SAT scores of 1500 or higher, with a particular focus on improving reading comprehension, analytical reasoning, and passage efficiency. Because I have taken the SAT recently myself, I also provide students with an up-to-date understanding of the exam’s current format, question styles, and test-taking strategies.

David has a good command of English for the SAT Exam and showed real interest in results for our SonM

David is well organized and I believe helped my son given a very short window of teaching time getting ready for his June 6th SAT. Will get back on this review after the exam.We would be happy with a 50 point improvement. Will know on June 22nd so stay tuned.David was great for our sonnand Will use him again if we dont get the score we need I do believe that one on one tutoring is much better and a faster learning experience than a class room setting.
