Bio

I was a classroom literacy teacher for seven years. For five years I was a writing teacher at one of the highest performing public schools in New York City. I'm now living in Sherman Oaks, and I'm currently writing a middle grade fantasy novel. I am a stickler for grammar and proper use of the English language. There's nothing more satisfying than seeing a student succeed. I can help any student with their reading and writing as well as preparing for the reading or writing portion of any standardized exam. During my years as a classroom teacher and leading our weekly whole-school meetings, I learned that effective public speaking is all about connecting with your audience. You must be confident and comfortable with the material, and you must bring energy with your body language, the expression of your voice, and the use of eye contact. Well timed pauses can also bring energy by creating anticipation.
