I am a TESOL-certified educator with extensive experience in both language instruction and academic tutoring. My teaching background spans classroom settings as well as one-on-one support, with a focus on ESL/ESOL, grammar, phonics, reading, writing, and spelling. I have also prepared students for academic competitions such as spelling bees and provided instruction in elementary mathematics, handwriting, and foundational study skills. Alongside this, I work with adult learners in additional languages such as Mandarin and Japanese, offering personalized lessons that build confidence in both communication and cultural understanding.

In my approach, I make learning both structured and supportive. I have worked with established curricula such as Fundations and other phonics-based programs, while also creating customized lesson plans that build confidence and fluency step by step. My methods combine direct instruction with guided practice, breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable parts. I emphasize not only understanding but also application, so that students can confidently use their skills in real academic, professional, and everyday contexts.

I have often been praised for my professionalism, patience, and ability to present material in a way that is both accessible and engaging. My goal is always to create a learning environment that encourages independence, persistence, and measurable progress. Whether working with young learners building literacy foundations, older students strengthening academic performance, or adults developing new language skills, I aim to provide the tools, strategies, and confidence they need to succeed.
