Hello! I'm Zahne. I am a college graduate from Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Game Design & Development from Rochester Institute of Technology, graduating with a 3.7 GPA and making the Deans's Honor List, and Summa Cum Laude. I particularly specialize in Computer Science skills like C++, C#, HTML, and JavaScript. Over the years I have spent numerous hours learning and absorbing not just knowledge but the ways that knowledge can be best understood. I always liked to study how my professors would teach a subject, that way I could help my friends or other students who were possibly stuck, as teaching others is a vivid passion of mine. Through this, I try to bring this passion to my professional tutoring. Every student is different, and thus I make a strenuous effort to accommodate someone's every need. Usually, I make up a lesson plan for that day, going from practice exercises on the subjects to core ideas and subjects, not filling them with needless information. Then, use the time between each idea to reinforce the exercises and problems. This is my general method, but I always adjust to the individual itself, on how best they learn.

For over two years I taught at Id-tech, becoming an online tutor from June 2021, all the way through to November 2022, and taught well over 200+ students on a variety of topics and such, helping complete projects and all sorts of subjects that all of my students got a new perspective or empowered in the topic at the end. My approach to tutoring comes out to really getting to understand the student, and find out exactly where their problems lie, and working backward from what they want to do (making a game or learning complex formulas) to going to the basics and working up from their.

All of my last four years of college I have practiced and studied C#, and I have developed games in Unity using it. It is the coding language I have the most proficiency bar none. Development in the Unity engine requires extensive C# knowledge, and I have developed many games in it, and even published some, such as a unique 2D puzzle game.
C++

C++

Besides C#, C++ is the other language I know the best. I professionally interned for over a year in game development using C++ in Unreal Engine, and using that requires extensive knowledge of the language. I have taken many classes and gotten high grades in all of the them involving C++, and made many projects involving it.

Zahne was a huge help with C# code I was stuck on. We went over binding lists for a project I'm working on. He was super patient and understanding with me and I love that he let me write the code myself VS typing everything out for me. I think that's what a good teacher is.
