Learning to read is a combination of skills, and we look at all the factors which might create stumbling blocks to success. In addition to phonics, I use developmental movement exercises and imaginative stories.

In addition to my experience working with reading and math, I have extensive experience in the technology field and can assist students in their computer proficiency or building simple websites. Last but not least, I am a professional editor as well, and can be of assistance in college writing. I'm also available to work with adults on desktop publishing, accounting software, and websites. I look forward to helping you.

Excellent Teacher!

Laura taught me so much in a little over an hour. We covered specific topics I needed help with - creating and organizing files and folders. She makes a point of explaining the principle of something, which helps one remember it. She's patient and keeps it simple.

Very Kind and Intuitive To My Daughter's Needs

Laura has taught my daughter skills to use every day in her reading and spelling. My daughter is using the tools Laura has taught her to do homework. I also love how Laura shakes her hand before and after the session, teaching my daughter respect. Laura has been absolutely wonderful and I would recommend highly.

exactly what I was looking for

I was looking for someone to walk me thru the steps for doing a certain project (a group newsletter.) Laura was exactly what I was looking for, explained things clearly. I would certainly call on her again if/when I get "stuck" again with this project. I am excited to be more proficient in making this newsletter look professional.
