I've always had a passion for helping budding writers find their voices. I've given master classes at California Institute of the Arts, U.S.C. and Augsburg College on film writing. I've also been a mentor at the Sundance Feature Film Lab for over twelve years. There I've had the pleasure of mentoring some of the most exciting new voices in cinema, including recent Academy Award nominees. My workshop "Story of the Scene" has been a staple of the film lab for many years. I've additionally mentored filmmakers through Sundance International Labs in India, Turkey, Greece, Japan and Jordan. My experience is suited to serious and advanced students in literature and film (high school, college and beyond) who seek expert guidance for aspects of their writing practice.
