I have always had a passion and love for teaching and tutoring anyone who wants to learn something new. The feeling that I get when a student has a "light bulb" moment and the material clicks for them is indescribable.

I tutor in subjects up to collegiate / post-grad coursework, depending on the material. I tutor in all Math incl Comp Sci, Elem Math, Alg 1, 2, Geom, Trig, PreCalc/Math Analysis, Statistics, Calc AB/BC, Multivar/Disc/Vector Calc, Linear Alg, and beyond; I also tutor in all...

I have always had a passion and love for teaching and tutoring anyone who wants to learn something new. The feeling that I get when a student has a "light bulb" moment and the material clicks for them is indescribable.

I tutor in subjects up to collegiate / post-grad coursework, depending on the material. I tutor in all Math incl Comp Sci, Elem Math, Alg 1, 2, Geom, Trig, PreCalc/Math Analysis, Statistics, Calc AB/BC, Multivar/Disc/Vector Calc, Linear Alg, and beyond; I also tutor in all hard sciences incl Bio (Anatomy, Physio, Microbio), Physics (Mechanics, E&M, Astrophys, Particle, Quantum), Chemistry (Inorg, Org, Structural, Metabolic Biochem), and most other sciences. I can tutor English (Lit, Reading, Writing, Grammar, and proofreading) and Philosophy (Epistemology, Metaphysics, Empiricism, Logic and Logical Fallacies, Ontological Constructs).

I'm available Saturday through Thursday and off on Fridays. I am happy to work with student(s) and/or parent(s) to come up with a convenient time to meet. As for right now, I am only providing online tutoring. I charge a base rate of $50/hr, and the minimum time for any single subject is 60 mins. For subjects that require more prep (e.g., collegiate+ subjects, standardized test prep), the rate is $60/hr. Lessons with short notice (less than 24hrs notice) are charged at $75/hr; very short-notice lessons (less than 6hrs notice) are $90/hour. 24 hours are required for all cancellations, and this is a very strict policy with few exceptions. I will provide you with my policies and expectations in greater detail over the phone before starting the tutoring sessions.

I abide by a philosophy of complete and utter transparency, so please feel free to ask any questions when we set up our initial phone consultation. Please contact me to set up a free phone consultation to discuss your or your child's tutoring needs in more detail! I look forward to helping you realize your potential and succeeding in your academic goals!

I have been successful in teaching fundamental mathematic topics to many students both at the high school and collegiate level, spanning from Pre-Algebra / Algebra I to AP Calc and at the college level starting with Calculus going up to Linear and Abstract Algebra.
Chemistry,

Chemistry

I have been tutoring a number of students in Chemistry at both the high school and collegiate level. That includes Chemistry Honors and Chem AP, and at the collegiate level, that includes Inorganic and Organic Chemistry, Structural and Metabolic Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Quantum Chemistry. As a premedical student, I have a double major in Physiology/Neuroscience and Cognitive Science, with a minor in Philosophy. A vast majority of my collegiate studies was spent focused on Chemistry. Ultimately, that lead me to a 2-summer research project at UCSF in Biological and Chemical Sciences as the lead investigator while still in college.
Physics,

Physics

I have extensive experience tutoring in physics, including high school level physics classes, including regular Physics, Physics Honors, AP Physics I, AP Physics II / AP Physics C, and at the collegiate level. I spent a significant portion of my undergraduate collegiate career in bioengineering and advanced physics studies, including General Relativity, Astrophysics, Quantum Mechanics, and Particle Physics.

Knowledgeable and enthusiastic teacher

Mayank helped my son clear up the concepts of AP Physics C Mech recently. As this AP Physics class needs a good hold of Calculus too, that my son had not finished yet, Mayank's expertise in both the areas really is a blessing. He is a very clear communicator and patient teacher. We really appreciate his help.

Knowledgeable and subject expert

Mayank M has taught Calculus AB and a lot of knowledge depth. He is able to clarify the doubts and teach all the contents properly. He takes additional care to extend the time until all the contents for that given class is completed. He is prompt at starting time and notifies early in case of any cancellations. Is a good tutor.

Patient and helpful tutor

Extremely helpful and explained concepts in detail. He is very organized and flexible. He helped our daughter understand her Pre-Calc Honors material thoroughly.

Very friendly and knowledgeable

My son really liked hearing Mayzank’s passion for physics and we appreciate the level of patience Mayzank has with him. For my son to have the dedicated time to spend with Mayzank we are sure my son will feel more prepared for his AP test.

Super Knowledgeable and Understanding

I took a lesson with Mayank to refresh my memory in integrals and derivatives. I am in a higher level physics course that requires these skills that I have forgotten. Mayank provided in depth explanations of the mechanics by which to approach these math problems and additional comprehensive explanation for what doing these problems actually mean. I highly recommend Mayank as a tutor who will make you understand what you are doing and not just mechanically regurgitating steps.

a very good teacher

Mayank is very patient with his students, will make you comfortable and at ease to tackle any physics college level problems, we covered a lab that was due the next day, even though he was very busy he made himself available. Also instead of going over faster and rushing like most tutors do, Mayank will take his time and will make sure you understand the concepts very well before he continues, he definitely that patience. I also like the fact he checked on me after my lab to ask me how the lab went and that shows me that he really cares about his students. After his first lessons he will be designing you a folder just for you to follow and track your progress definitely recommend to any one that wants to improve or learn the hardest or weirdest concepts of physics that can be sometimes odd for most students in college.

Great enthusiasm for Physics and helped us spur of the moment, same-day!

My 11th grade son realized he was falling behind in AP Physics and needed help. I reached out to Mayank who immediately responded and jumped in same-day. Mayank knows AP Physics course well, could give excellent context. He focuses on understanding concepts, and what stood out to us is his enthusiasm and warm demeanor.

Knowledgeable math and physics tutor

Mayank is n my son's AP Calc AB tutor . Mayank knows his subject thoroughly and makes sure that my son understands the concepts. He takes his time, communicates clearly and sets clear expectations. If review of previous material is needed, he makes sure that is done before moving forward. Mayank has been a lifesaver when it comes to covering AP material and has been helping my son with AP Calc BC and AP Calc Physics over the summer as well to help prepare for the upcoming school year.
