I graduated from high school this year with CSF/NHS honors. I've maintained straight As (no A-s) the past four years and have a final academic/weighted cumulative GPA of 4.68, final unweighted GPA 4.00. On the SAT, I scored a 1570 and a perfect score on the PSAT, leading to a $2500 National Merit Scholarship. I've received a 5s on AP Biology, Calculus AB/BC, Chemistry, English Literature/Language, Psychology, and US/World History.
I'm also experienced with biology and medicine olympiads. I'm a two-time USABO Semifinalist with Honors, and have received two gold medals and three silver medals from competing in other biology and medicine olympiads as well.
In high school, I served as president/lead officer of the school's medicine and biology clubs since junior year. Under my leadership, both clubs had attendance of 20+ members every meeting. I used short presentations, numerous practice problems/case studies, and online/hands-on activities to teach content, and have consistently received positive feedback from club members. Outside of this, I also published several research papers as the first author, I volunteer a lot (includes previously tutoring for the San Jose Public Library), and have done competitive recurve archery for the past 8 years now.
So in conclusion, if you are a student or parent looking for help in any subject, I know what content is most important for test and olympiad prep (AP, PSAT, SAT, USABO, etc), and I know how to teach it effectively so students can internalize information quickly, and then apply their knowledge on various challenging problems. Also having just finished high school and the college application process, I'd be happy to answer any questions about these areas.
